Security Specialists in the East Midlands

Intruder alarm monitoring involves connecting your alarm control panel through your telephone line to an independent alarm monitoring station.

Upon receiving the alarm activation, the monitoring station will take the necessary action, depending upon the response you require. For example, this could be a call to the key holder, the Police or Fire Brigade.

This system allows you to be notified of any potential intrusion immediately, you can incorporate CCTV into the system design to remotely monitor the premises by the central station.

A.T. Alarms offer differing monitoring services to increase security:-

Digital Communicator

A line sensing unit within the communicator will provide instant operation of the alarm sirens if the British Telecom line is cut or out of order or when an unauthorised entry is detected.

RedCare

RedCARE gives the competitive edge over a Digital Communicator because it provides a continuously monitored telephone line between the Intruder Alarm System and the Central Monitoring Station.

Where a Digital Communicator is vulnerable to line cuts, RedCARE provides greater security because it will detect any breaks in the line whatever their cause and report to the Central Monitoring Station accordingly.

This means that deliberate or accidental damage to your phone line or the phone being engaged, will not degrade your protection.

RedCare GSM

Alarm confirmation, as specified by the ACPO policy, can take advantage of back-up signalling, and this is where RedCARE GSM comes in. The GSM path is called into action in the event of a line cut, panel failure or other cause of a disruption on the land line between the control panel and the central monitoring station.

The land line path uses RedCARE's fail safe continuous monitoring, as above, while the GSM device surveys the in-range base stations. The base stations are surveyed every 8 seconds to ensure RedCARE GSM is locked on to the strongest signal.

If the land line is attacked the Alarm Receiving Centre will receive an initial alarm signal. This will be followed by a signal confirming the GSM path has taken over as the primary signalling route. Any further 'confirmation' alarm activations will be transmitted by the GSM path.

RedCARE GSM is unique in that it can transmit a confirmed alarm activation if the land line or GSM paths are attacked, regardless of which one is attacked first.

The GSM path utilises a highly encrypted SMS messaging service, not the popular text messaging services. These messages are transmitted very quickly using dedicated switching centres. Subsequently, they are never 'lost' or delayed by other traffic.
